Did you know that comics did this?!
Comics often uses a question mark followed by an exclamation mark to show the "excitement" of the question. Such as this panel from Spider-Man...

I don't think I've ever seen .! used, but ...! and ...? are both fairly common ways of indicating speechlessness. The first could be interpreted as being stunned; the second as being more puzzled. And if you add either one to the end of a statement, it connotes trailing off in a meaningful way. If you see what I mean...?
And here are other some nifty ways to express your feelings with punctuation:

If you ever read Steve Englehart's West Cost Avengers, you will notice that EVERY SINGLE SENTENCE ends with an EXCLAMATION POINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the old days, comics were printed cheaply on cheap paper, and periods often just vanished. Guys like Jack Kirby never ended a sentence with a period. They used question marks, exclamation points, and ellipses... It made the dialogue exciting!
