If Bruce's Mood Had Been Different That Night...

Yes, it's a bit silly, but I thought it would be fun to draw. Click to enlarge.

Brilliant! But, urge to nitpick rising... it's "superstitious, cowardly lot," not superficial. This is great stuff though!

I'm glad you like it. I actually choose that word purposefully. Being scared by broken glass seemed more superficial than superstitious. His mood was different that night.

Thanks!

Ah, that makes it even better. I should have known you wouldn't mangle a catchphrase!

This is hilarious! Those superheroes sure are random: allowing a single event to effect the entire rest of their career. Ant-Man could have been Giant-Blade-of-Grass-Man. Green Lantern could have been Power Ring. Beast could have been Blue Guy. Wolverine could have been Claws. Sub-Mariner could have been Skimpy Trunks.
Now you've set me off! The list goes on. What FUN!

Power Ring was an alternate universe (villain) Green Lantern, I believe!

Love it! That window scene is a source of endless variation, isn't it? Here's one I did a few years back:

What If? An Alternate Origin of Batman!

Enjoy!

I just discovered your work and can't get enough of it. (I especially love this one and the Superman/bullet strip.) After seeing this post, I think you might enjoy my brother's comic at http://www.th3rdworld.com/web-comic/The-SuperFogeys/episode/SuperFogeys-Origins-The-Money-Man-Pg2.
