I like the fact that Kerry softly reminds us that AI has and will, by design, continue to make the lives of not already wealthy Americans progressively more hellish and demoralized until a very few years from now, reality is indistinguishable from what you see in the films Elysium and Idiocracy. No I'm not kidding or exaggerating even a little bit. First of all when confronted with the self serving spin logic of wealthy d bag tech bro types who use a variation on the mental magic used to keep dumb Christians in line for centuries which tells us "God (in this case AI or tech and commerce) never closes a door without opening a window" , you need to immediately bring down the room with a counter punch. The counter punch is to sarcastically reference all of the plentiful job opportunities which greeted movie theater pianists ( for Gen Zeelenials, the reason you don't know what that is boils down to your low attention span and the fact that "God" is actually a door and window closing d bag) once a reliable method for recording and attaching sound to film stock was devised. Imagine that scenario with the millions of people whose livelihood was provided by their drivers license and work ethic. "Sorry Bob! This AI not only drives better than you but requires no rest or financial compensation! That's why it was purchased by this company from the tech bros who pitched and sold it to us. It was designed to break the will, dignity and purpose of you pesky drivers and all the annoying laws preventing your outright enslavement. No warning. No window. Now scat you old has-been, or do you need security to accompany you to Social Services where you will now be spending the rest of your life until the sweet relief of death brings an end to the horror of your non rich people life".We are officially at the point I have been waiting for my whole life, because we nihilists, being the only philosophy to ever identify and accept reality on its own terms, will now have our opportunity to"See? Toldja so" every non nihilist (I call them "peasants " or "pedestrians") as they suffer world of a handful of wealthy, happy people and a majority of enslaved poor. There is no hope, no help, no escape and no path forward and I will be particularly brutal with people who are not wealthy but are right now having children. I mean, compared to the suffering you and your kids (who you brought into the world because you are dumb) are about to endure over the next decade , my snarky comments as you endure it won't seem that damaging because by then all of you hopeful sheep will share my perspective. And your days will be filled with too many tears and trauma to even notice me saying "toldja so dummy". Remember, hurting rich folk is always heroic. No matter how or why. And if you are not already wealthy, then striking out with bitter violence is the only potential "meaning" your existence now has. I'll leave you with your fear, dread and this formula.... Happiness=wealthy evil or doomed dumb. Darkness=knowledge and/or edgy coolness. If you would like to know more about Nihilism and I can help you with what I call "The Endarkenment". And yes, that is the most awesome name for a thrash metal band that was never used.
