When I first sketched this out, I had Batman with a starter gun. But, then I remembered he carried a gun in his first adventures, so I made it a pistol he actually had in an old comic panel. :)

Omg I haven't laughed out loud like this in a freakin' bit even though I always say I am... Kudos, sir! Love the whole aesthetic ! Both humor and art are priceless!

I love these. Love the web comic too!
I ACTUALLY laughed out loud at this one. Many thanks Kerry!
Your blog must be gaining followers as the ads appearing have a comic book-y demographic. Jolly-ho, eh what not!?
This gets bonus points for the period-appropriate costumes, particularly yellow-gloved Aquaman!
You've made me wish you were doing a JSA comic.
Keep doing these. They are some of the best things on the Internet. Also, how do you get that vintage texture/coloring?
these are the BEST
... and Batman with a gun!

I love that attention to detail, and I particularly love the pie in the face gag!
I showed this to a friend, and he asked, "Is this an actual page from a Golden Age comic?"
I was going to comment on Batman having a gun, but you're right- he doesn't have any hangups with them in the beginning
