Super Antics #6

On this page, I tried to up the ante a bit in creating an old comic look. Not only did I misregister the color, but I also added a faint image of a reverse comic page, which would show through the newsprint. Yep. This is how I amuse myself.

Yea, don't get your tighty whities in an uproar! Great work, love the reversed page idea.

Bravo! Fantastic as always.

By coincidence, just a couple of weeks ago -- after scanning and retouching some old comics pages for a project -- I told someone you can always spot the difference between vintage comic books published before the mid-Eighties and later reprints of same, because the real thing always have this faint image from the other side. Now here it is for everyone to appreciate!

Do you sell prints of the these?

No, sorry. I'm doing "Super Antics" just for fun. When I find the time, however, I plan to sell prints of other images I've created. :)

So far, the first and only humor comic on this blog which has disappointed me.

Superman and Batman wear shorts over tights, just like many professional athletes and Olympic contenders do.

The idiotic confusion between shorts and underwear was started by people who hate superheroes and wanted to mock them by implying exhibitionism or sexual perversion as a way to vilify the idea anyone with a healthy psyche would read them.

Why did you have to get that offensive cliche' one more venue? Yes, you make fun of the skoffers, but you still imply that Supes is wearing his underwear on the outside of his pants like a pervy threat to our children instead of the truth that he is wearing shorts over tights the way most respectable athletes and Olympic hopefuls have for decades now.

Fortunately, this is the only one of your humor pieces which isn't brilliant.

Ha ha. This is the only one where I took someone else's suggestion for one of these. I was in the mood to draw, so I ran with it. But, I didn't see it as a pervy threat, or I wouldn't have done it.

Awesomeness, Kerry! Hilarious comic, and incredible artwork. I'm really enjoying your comics, and this one is no exception! And...it's not a "pervy threat."
