Glinda's a jerk

I've always thought the following Wizard of Oz scene was odd, so I'm reproducing it here with my own bit of dialog at the end...

If I'd known your sense of humour was available here for free then I wouldn't have shelled out for the new Halo and Sprocket.
Foolish.

Wonderfully foolish.

Yeah, well, that's nothing compared to making Dorothy march across Oz, weep in the Wicked Witch's attic, and endure the Wizard's bungled rescue only to have Glinda say, "Ha! I didn't tell you before but those shoes? Click 'em together three times and you're outta here. Just say, 'There's no place like home. There's no place like home.'" Of course, we all know Glinda in the MGM movie is just a manifestation of Dorothy's superego.

Hilarious. I wish I would've thought to point that out.

Hilarious! I am truly enjoying my first visit to your blog! I was drawn in by the Marvel heroes done Silver Age DC style, and now I find Oz here as well! And funny, well-observed Oz at that! Thanks for posting these!
