Happiness Is Fleeting

Here's the link to a new shirt design I have on Threadless! Please vote for it, if it's your kind of thing. No pressure. We're all friends here.

Dream On

If you're reading Dark Horse's Dream Thief  by Jai Nitz and Greg Smallwood (and if you're not, you should be), you'll find the below pin-up by me in issue #3. Out today!

That is all. Carry on.

Batman is a Hoarder!

I continue to work on my 160 page monster comic, but I took a break to draw something that's been in the back of my mind for a while. My friend Anna Maria Cool recently mentioned she suspected Batman was a hoarder. The seed was planted. I knew I wouldn't stop thinking about it until I drew something about it. I can stop thinking about it now. Click to enlarge.

Btw, the objects on the bottom of page 1 are all from actual Batman stories;  Detective Comics #244, Detective Comics  #235, Detective Comics #241, respectively. (Disrespectively?)

Okay, okay. You can buy this.

I often get requests to make my art available to buy. Truthfully, I do my blog for my own amusement, but some parodies I am comfortable with selling. I just have never had the time to research for the best printer. I realized this week that I have an old Zazzle account. So, I've put the above art for sale on shirts, prints and canvases.

You can order through Zazzle. Click here! Whoa! Edit: Zazzle removed it! Let me check on that an I'll get back to you....

If you have other formats you would like to see, please let me know.

Btw, I'm very happy to mention, if you happen to buy the August issue of Glamour magazine (out this Tuesday), you'll find a version of my "Oops Woman" within its glossy pages. Thank you Glamour!

Maybe the Silver Surfer's board is a giant tongue depressor.

My son, Martin, made an off-the-cuff remark as we visited our local comic shop. It amused me enough that I found a couple of statue images on the web, used some NASA photos, did a little retouching, and made this for him.

Note: I got the cool Galactus photo from Amin Ko's post on statueforum.com, and the Firelord pieces from http://marvel-figurines.blogspot.com. If either of you would like me to remove these from my site, let me know and I will. Thanks.

Super Embarrassment Reprinted!

Just a quick note--
My Super Embarrassment T-Shirt has been reprinted over at Threadless.com!

Animated Ads

I've recently created three "comic book" animations for an online ad campaign. I thought they'd be fun to share. Below is a smaller version of each. You can see the full-size animations at http://www.bankziety.com

These makes me want to do single panel, animated, gag cartoons. Hmmmm...
