I am so genuinely excited about the new H&S book; I've even ordered a copy of the first one, despite having all the individual issues, 'cos they're archived away in the depths of the loft, and I really want to read them again. :)
I downloaded it, thanks very much! I've only recently discovered your work (I plan on sending you a bigger nicer email with some kind words once I get the moment) but having these guys to live on my desktop is very lovely.
May I ask, the brown of the tree and the brown of Sprocket's arms are very similar, why did you choose not to give them more contrast? Make Sprocket's arms blue or something?
Not meaning to nitpick, I can never turn my art brain off.
Glad you discovered/enjoyed the book! I like to think of Sprocket's arms and legs as a copper tone. I decided character's colors a long time ago with the release of Halo and Sprocket #1, the comic book. After doing four comic covers and the first TP cover, the colors were pretty set. This desktop is based on the cover of my latest TP collection.
Just downloaded, thanks! And did I read (on Wired, earlier today) that you are mulling over some new Halo & Sprocket? Because if you were, well, that would make my year. (Not even the nearly-spent one, but the new one!) Many thanks for the great, GREAT comics.
Heh; many thanks Kerry.
