Batman is a Hoarder!

I continue to work on my 160 page monster comic, but I took a break to draw something that's been in the back of my mind for a while. My friend Anna Maria Cool recently mentioned she suspected Batman was a hoarder. The seed was planted. I knew I wouldn't stop thinking about it until I drew something about it. I can stop thinking about it now. Click to enlarge.

Btw, the objects on the bottom of page 1 are all from actual Batman stories;  Detective Comics #244, Detective Comics  #235, Detective Comics #241, respectively. (Disrespectively?)

  5. Brilliant! I had to look twice to realise this wasn't by the original artist. Great talent!

  6. I think you nailed it! The old "My-parents-were-murdered-and-this-is-how-cope" line is just a cover for Bruce's hoarding compulsion.

  10. Do you start with a stick figure?
    Please respond!!

  11. Gavin, I start was very rough pencil sketches. The figures aren't really stick figures. They are ugly, bad drawings, which I trace into better pencils, which I then ink into slightly better images.

  17. Would you be ok with me printing this and hanging it on my wall? What size should it be, ideally?
